Roanoke Valley Z Car Club

About Us

Roanoke Valley Z Car Club (RVZCC) was formed in August, 2002 by William Howard and Scott Copeland with hopes of getting other Z car people together to share their passion for these classic Japanese imports.  After months of planning, preparing and scouting; the first RVZCC meeting was held on August 9, 2002 with seven Z cars and their owners excited that a Z car club was in the area.

As the club has grown, we have gained so many talented people such as: Carol Lipper/ Graphic Designer, Aaron Lester (our new vice president) and Rodney Shepherd (our new web site creator) both are knowledgeable ASE Certified auto technicians, Chuck Cessna/ pro race driver/ SCCA driving instructor, Dr. Peter Kelly aka: Doc (our financial backer or at least that's what I thought Kelly Main said)/car and computer wiz, Lance Richardson/ kid photographer (when he shows up), and I have to put in a plug for the writer/editor-that's me and I've been behind this computer from the get go.

Last but not least is our newly elected president, Kelly Main.  Kelly has spent a lot of time for the club since he joined and we thank him for all he's done.  He has taken on projects that others have rejected.  He is carrying the responsibility of treasurer, that everyone backed away from.  And now he is the Main man.  Good luck, Kelly ;0)

The RVZCC is about sharing the enthusiasm and knowledge for the Z car and helping fix problems or find parts.  The club is also about being there foe one another as well as he community.  And enjoy life as much as our Z cars.

If you like working on you Z car, auto crossing, drag racing, picnics, hiking, partying, getting together, working on community projects, or just meeting for good fellowship with others who share your passion-the Roanoke Valley Z Car Club is a club you should test drive.  Our membership dues are a flat $30.00 per year and we are always looking for new or used members.

Thank you, William Howard and Scott Copeland for founding the RVZCC.  Dreams do happen with all the right people.
